COST:
Prices start at $100 for very small houses or trailers. A typical mid-size house of between 1600-2000sq.ft. will usually estimate at $125-150. Gutter cleaning is usually recommended (see gutter page) prior to service for best results. Exterior gutter stains from shingle tar ('Tiger Striping') do not come come off with normal pressure washing. Hand scrubbing is usually required at a cost of $1/ft.
ABOUT THE SERVICE:
I use low pressure for all vinyl and painted surfaces. High pressure is for cement or cleaning/stripping decks. My chemicals are environmentally friendly (bleach and de-greasers) and do not harm grass, shrubs, or flowers. They are designed to remove dirt, mildew, and green algae. Service includes cleaning of front porch & steps. 'Detailing' for stains which require hand scrubbing with special chemicals (such as clay, deck sealant, oozing residues or dirty caulk around windows) is a separate service which must be estimated in advance.
CUSTOMER PREPARATION:
All small breakable items such as wind chimes and other 'art work' should be taken indoors prior to service. Large items such as grills and furniture will be handled by us. Ground floor window screens can be removed (usually from the inside) for optimal cleaning of sills. If service is to be done while home owner is absent and the windows are the traditional wooden sash/frames, care should be taken to lay out towels on the ground floor window sills as water may seep under this type of window. A hand cleaning/drying service is available at a discount ($3/per 30x60" window) as an add on to the house washing service. For those desiring this service all screens must be removed. House washing takes between 2-4 hours and can be billed via email, fax, or by invoice left in the door. Payment is by cash or personal check.
